Slippery Rock High School Additions and Renovations
Supporting Students Through Arts and Business
In collaboration with DRAW Collective, Slippery Rock Area School District is undertaking a transformative renovation project aimed at enhancing learning environments, improving safety, and expanding student opportunities. The facility improvements reflect the District’s vision of fostering academic success, developing life skills, and promoting career readiness in a modern and inclusive setting.
The design includes three additions to the school – a music suite, including dedicated band, choral, and practice rooms, along with ample storage space; an annex and patio to expand the existing Cafeteria; and a new administrative office suite. The office suite features a new main entrance to the school, including a secure vestibule and lobby to improve visitor access control and building safety.
The existing high school will also be renovated to enhance the student experience. All restrooms will be completely renovated for ADA compliance. The entire existing Kitchen and Cafeteria will be renovated to feature a new food-court style serving arrangement. The former music classrooms will be renovated to hold the new Guidance offices and Nurse’s suite. The Media Center and LGI will be completely renovated with new layout, furniture, and finishes. Finally, a Career-Readiness suite will be provided in the space of the former administrative offices, featuring two new classrooms and a student-run café called the “Rock Shop.”
