Pine-Richland High School Expansion & STEAM Center

Future-Ready Learning

The central component of a 100,000 square foot addition to Pine-Richland High School was a new STEAM center to support the District’s shift to an interdisciplinary approach to instruction. The center includes instructional labs and classrooms for chemistry, biology, business, math, computer science, art, technology, systems engineering, manufacturing, robotics, and computer-assisted drafting.

The expansion also included the renovation of the school kitchen and dining area. The center is designed to link the disciplines to encourage creativity and innovation. The addition features collaborative learning spaces in the common areas of the building.

One of the features of the design is an abundance of glass to showcase the curriculum and the work of the students to inspire and challenge others.
