Norwin Performing Arts Center Renovations
Celebrating the Arts
Following DRAW Collective’s feasibility study for Norwin School District, the District and the DRAW Collective team began the design and plans for the high school’s new Performing Arts Center. The Norwin Performing Arts Center is a renovated space that not only improves the performers’ experience with professional lighting and sound systems, but also the audience experience through new and accessible seating and added safety features.
The Norwin Performing Arts Center renovations included converting the existing auditorium to create a modern, cutting-edge performing arts center. The designs include stage floor and dressing room renovations to improve the performer experience. A new upper-level tiered seating area serves as additional audience seating but can also transform into two separate LGI rooms with a projector and separate lighting systems. The upgraded electrical, HVAC, lighting, and sound systems greatly increase the quality of the performances, adding further value to the District’s growing interest in the arts program.Â
What was once a small and outdated High School auditorium is now a bright, inviting, and modern Performing Arts Center that welcomes students throughout the school day, faculty for various meetings, and community members for large gatherings and performances.
