McKnight Elementary School Addition and Renovations

Enhanced and Refreshed for Learning

The assessment of McKnight Elementary School led to the development of design options for improvements and expansion to accommodate the District’s growing and shifting population.

A full building renovation as well as an addition for new art classrooms modernized the outdated learning spaces throughout the building and included the integration of a state-of-the-art Maker Space to augment the building’s media center.

In addition to significant infrastructure upgrades, the main focus of the project was to create advanced learning environments that will support the District’s programs well into the future. The project also included a renovated multi-purpose gymnasium designed to reflect the North Allegheny colors and Tiger mascot.

The project was completed concurrently with the expansion of the Franklin Elementary School project.
