New Moon Area High School
To the Moon and the Stars
The design for Moon Area High School provides modern classrooms that present a collegiate rather than high school feel in a compact, well-organized footprint. The new High School supports the District’s efforts to integrate technology seamlessly through the educational spaces and celebrate each of the High School’s departments.
The natatorium provides state-of-the-art facilities for athletics and community use, further enhancing the school’s role as a hub for both academics and extracurricular programs.
The Auditorium and Stage facility was designed by Daniel Engen and modeled after the Benedum Center stage facility. The ceiling is designed as an array of moonbeams shining through a star-filled sky. The very active performance center serves as a tremendous asset for the High School, the Moon Area School District, and the community.
