6 Main Nursing Unit Upgrades
Med-Surg Nursing Unit
This project renovated 21 patient rooms and the central nurse’s station at Butler Memorial Hospital. While no changes were made to the configuration of the patient rooms, significant improvements were made to the patient-care environment.
New interior finishes created a warmer, more caring environment. Lighting throughout the unit was updated with more energy-efficient and design-friendly fixtures. Significant infrastructural improvements were accomplished with new headwall and nurse call systems.
The project also included the renovation of the 6th-floor elevator lobby and an adjacent family waiting area.
