New Organ Procurement Building

Saving Lives Through Organ Recovery

DRAW is working with CORE to envision and design an expansion of their current headquarters and clinical facilities in order to meet the needs and growth of the vital service they offer to the community. CORE’s long-term service outlook is leading the way in defining the facility’s vision.

During the design phase, DRAW worked closely with CORE to understand their unique departmental organization and projected long-term growth in a master planning effort. By studying their existing building operations and working closely with user groups, the team developed a program for their new building to realize their goals. The new building includes three ORs, donor ICU, and surgical support services, as well as lab services, donor family services, and meeting and community spaces.

The new building will be sited on an adjacent, acquired property, with the existing building to remain occupied. The team explored the best use of the new property in a manner that fulfills the mission of the organization while maintaining its culture of promoting a team-oriented campus environment.

After the successful completion of the master planning/study, CORE commissioned DRAW to design the new building, currently under construction.
