New Bethel Park Elementary Campus

Coming Together in the Park

The new Bethel Park Elementary School will bring all K–5 students together in one facility. The design organizes the building as a “school-within-a-school,” with two grades per floor. Each grade grouping has a dedicated administrative center, and specialty learning and support spaces sit next to the classroom wings.

The school will feature 21st-century learning environments that support STREAM instruction, as well as expanded music and instrumental programs, art, literacy, research, and maker education. Grade-level wings form houses, neighborhoods, and communities with large open activity areas, small pull-out spaces, and nearby faculty resources.

The exterior and interior reflect a “Park” concept. A central “Park Path,” along with nature-inspired colors, patterns, and imagery, supports placemaking and wayfinding throughout the building. These materials and colors also shape the exterior design.

The construction teams are working on the new facility, which will be built on the existing middle school campus and will continue to serve students while the new elementary school is under construction. The design of the new multi-story building follows the sloping terrain, providing at-grade entries on multiple floors with complete separation of bus and parent traffic flow.

Additionally, the new Bethel Park Elementary School’s design includes a new roadway and entrance to the campus have been designed to create a primary access road for the new building and to accommodate an increase in bus and vehicular traffic.

The new school is on-schedule to open for the 2026-27 school year.
