Get to know Daniel:

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Bouldering, bicycling, playing and coaching hockey, spending time with my spiritual family, music, and travel.

What are your most impactful projects at DRAW?:

Hampton High School Media Center: This project prepares the school to engage in more interactive education with a fully equipped media center, multi-function film and production studio, breakout spaces, a collaboration space for large groups, and a student-run cafe! This project will free up space within the school for much-needed future improvements.

Independence Health System, Clarion Health & Wellness Center: This project creates a hybrid in-patient / out-patient facility close to the community to provide convenient service. You can meet with your cardiologist, get a prescription, and get your bloodwork and PT all in the same facility. There’s even a teaching kitchen and food bank. This facility genuinely shifts the healthcare model from treatment to wellness.

Erie VA Medical Center Oncology Center: The leadership of the Erie VA, their care for patients, and their desire to build a healing community made this project memorable.

What keeps you coming back to work everday?

People come first at our office. What you do matters in a person’s life. And how you do it matters to the people you’re working with. I love our people first mentality.

What is your favorite architectural building?

Thorncrown Chapel by Fay Jones.

What is your dream destination?

I’m thinking about visiting Helsinki this year!

What is your bucket list item?

I would love to work with city leadership to end homelessness.
