Franklin Regional Primary Center
Expanding for Growth
A renovated and expanded Franklin Regional Primary Center serves kindergarten, first, and second-grade students on the newly developed elementary-level campus, which also includes a new Intermediate Elementary building for students in grades three to five.
The Primary Center renovations and additions included reconfiguring the site to separate parent drop-off and bus traffic, with buses continuing to the new neighboring Intermediate School.
Interior renovations reorganized the building and renewed the classrooms. New Innovation Centers classrooms support groups of classrooms for projects and art instruction. Additions to the building provide a new main entrance, an expanded cafeteria, and a new creative arts classroom with an integrated stage.
The elementary campus was defined in a year-long feasibility study that consolidated the District’s elementary instruction on the campus and closed two elementary buildings.
