The new Trinity Intermediate Elementary School just opened in September 2025 to serve the growing Trinity Area School District. The new building, constructed as an addition to the Middle School, is serving grades 4 and 5.
Each of the building’s three levels contain a centralized Innovation Project Classroom to support the STREAM elements of the curriculum. The school’s design integrated classroom adjacent support places for team activities, pullout instruction, and small group learning. Planning for the project sought to strengthen the relationships between individual classrooms and flexible learning spaces.
The heart of the new building includes specialized team learning areas aligned around a vertical atrium. The Media Center, STREAM Laboratory and Advanced Learning Classrooms open to a second story outdoor learning patio. A two-story Blue Box Auditorium creates multi-purpose assembly space for arts and music programming and community presentations.
The school was designed to be expanded by an additional grade level, if needed.
