Our firm provides meaningful architecture and design for educational, health + wellness, and community places that matter. Our team of architects, interior designers, and project managers are passionate about the work we do, elevating the conversation around design and providing invaluable client service. We strive to assemble the best team to meet each individual client’s needs, resulting in long-term relationships that can last generations.
DRAW Collective designs places that matter, together.
Our history has always included school design work and we have designed thousands of projects to improve local educational facilities. Our designs have included new school buildings, significant expansions, alterations, and repairs that have extended the life of existing school buildings.
Healthcare makes a difference in our lives and in the communities in and around the places we call home. We are proud that our firm’s legacy has included work that make our local communities a better place to live through the design of quality hospital and patient-care facilities.
Over the years, DRAW Collective has served many businesses, religious organizations, community associations and municipalities in their efforts to balance their facility needs and the needs of the communities they serve with the fiscal responsibilities with which they are entrusted.
At DRAW Collective, excellence starts with a commitment to the core values that define our firm. Above all, we value people and relationships, we prize character, and hold ourselves to the highest standards. We are united for a common purpose – to improve the health and wellbeing of all the communities we serve through the power of design. Our leadership embodies these values and charts the path forward for our continued growth, evolution, and innovation.

Waynesburg University came to DRAW Collective with an idea: to establish a space for their new co-curricular innovation hub, dubbed the ‘eHIVE’ (entrepreneurial Hub for Innovative Ventures and Endeavors). The design of this space was pivotal in realizing their overarching vision: developing a culture of proactive, innovative, and ethically sound problem-solving aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills and experiences to excel in an ever-changing world. The eHIVE embodies this vision with a range of spaces from tech-heavy maker spaces to more traditional shop space and from a more traditional classroom layout to a collaborative and open space to “pitch” entrepreneurial ideas to fellow students. Libraries give us a green light to experience something truly special: a place to connect with others, learn new skills, and pursue our passions through book clubs, storytimes, movie nights, crafting classes, lectures, and more.
#DidYouKnow? The Chevron Science Center is a landmark academic building on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. The 15-story facility was completed in 1974 and designed by our firm when we were known as Kuhn, Newcomer & Valentour. Upon its completion, it was the largest school building for chemistry instruction and research east of the Mississippi River. The building also received a second-place award in the "Lab of the Year" contest conducted by Industrial Research Magazine.
